Another big highlight of his young golf career on Sunday, Woods, who drained his first ace when he played in the PNC Championship last December alongside his father Tiger Woods, found a hole in TPC Sawgrass at this weekend’s junior player championship event.

Woods started the day with the back nine, playing 11 holes before a memorable shot, entering the uniform third hole. He teeed off with iron into a par 3, 177 yard hole and watched his ball sink into the cup. Fans standing around the greenery first noticed, and fans inside and around Tishabox were celebrated after the reality of the moment was revealed.

Hole-in-One handed Woods to 6 for the tournament. He shot 76 and 75 in the first two rounds respectively.

Woods’ first ace came from roughly the same distance. In the final round of last year’s PNC Championship, he sank a tee shot from 174 yards with seven irons in par 3 fourth place at the Ritz-Carlton GC. He celebrated with his father after a moment of disbelief.

“It was a perfect 7 iron, so it was a bit of a hit… Little Cut 7,” Woods said after the December 2024 hole-in-one. “I didn’t think it was in. I wouldn’t believe anyone until I went there and saw it.”

The 16-year-old Woods is in the middle of an impressive stretch that dates back to that shot last winter. He won his first junior tournament title with team Taylormade Invitational in May, finishing ninth in the junior PGA Championship this month.
