In many cases, in soccer, there is a flashpoint in the accumulation of administrators’ tricks, and the pinnacle of a series of poor results.
For Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur, winning the Europa League proved to be a straw that broke the camel’s back. The Australian coach finished an endless search for Spurs silverware, but he also struggled to finish the 17th place Premier League.
Daniel Levy now left himself, feeling unacceptable about his manager’s position and needed a fresh start. Whether it’s either aspect of the fence you sit on, you don’t deny the rationale for the thought process.
Signatures made in recent months have conveyed them the promise of sustainable and positive football. Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons are their testimony, with both broad attackers calming the N17 well.
Kudus & Simons are Spurs outstanding
Tottenham signed West Ham United’s Kudos in June for £55 million. Sign and praise him from his rivals like that. And Ghanaian wingers repayed their faith on the field and enjoyed the start of the rift under Frank’s wings.
His final product leaves what he wants, but not the pace, energy and directness of the 24-year-old. Maverick’s Sofa Scole record, averaging 2.2 key passes and earning a duel of 7.8 games per game in the Premier League this season. Kudus hasn’t scored yet, but he has three assists.
Similarly, 22-year-old Simons hasn’t broken the duck yet, but the Dutch have only had four games in his Lily White career, starting once in the Premier League. Simmons is more of a ballplay creator than his peers, and is described as a “game changer” by talent scout Jace Krigg.
Looking at RB Leipzig and his past two conditions in the Bundesliga, it is clear that Frank excavated a gem and landed him for £51 million despite Chelsea’s vested attention.

These upstarts are shaping the future of Tottenham, but they have not yet struck their path. This often portends, but it is also interesting to note that the previous Spurs flops outweigh those pairs.
In fact, Ivan Perisic still produces creative performances.
Ivan Perisic season count
Tottenham signed Perizic on a free transfer after the 2021/22 season, and the Croatian’s contract with Inter Milan has expired. He was 33 years old and was considered a utility purchaser, a team deeper.
One goal was everything he had to show in that maiden year in the English game, but Perizic proved himself a creative force of sublime quality and won 12 assists.
Antonio from ESPN is barricaded Surprised at the addition of a quiet jackpot, he said, “Perisic, very constant player not spoken well.”
Certainly, the veteran offered a stable supply line forward, starting 23 times on top flights that year, but created a big chance of 11 and an average of 1.4 key passes per sofa score.
But for the multipurpose star it wasn’t all sun and rainbow. Journalist James Moe claims that before the player’s ACL, it is “remembered as a waste of money.”
Certainly, it is worth noting that he brings home some pretty North London pennies and earns a living of £1.95 million a week.
However, he played an important role and started strongly in 2023/24 under the guidance of Post-Coglu. Before suffering from that catastrophic knee injury, it was loaned out to Hadjuxplit in January and recovered before his contract expired at the end of the campaign.
It is debate whether it was a mistake to successfully free the 30s while recovering from a brutal knee injury, but there is no doubt that Perizic’s Tottenham career is a ruthless career.
After all, Perizic bouncing despite his ripe football age, now 36 years old. PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands have already scored goals and have six assists this season, demonstrating that the two are two to different ranges.
In fact, considering that the Post-Coglu Spurs ship sank after an emphatic start, it doesn’t matter to think that Perisic’s leadership and experience helped things.
Simons works with similar skills to the ball and a delivery wand similar to an experienced star. At least now, the Spurs have similar players who can step up and stream.
Although Perizic’s days at Tottenham were turbulent, we cannot forget the quality of his playmaking during that first semester. If the injury hadn’t beat him, it could have all been different.
