Arsenal have a rich pipeline of exciting young talent and they could join them if they can survive the competition to sign Montpellier sensation Racine Meignan-Pavet.

Fighting on all fronts, the Gunners have recently begun to look for strength in their squad, as Andre Harriman-Annus starred in midweek’s victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

There is clearly scope for young players to develop their talent under manager Mikel Arteta if they perform well at underage level. With his team at the top of the Premier League and looking to advance to multiple competitions, domestic matches outside of the top league could become a breeding ground for even more blood to be spilled within the academy.

But with injuries to Martin Odegaard, Noni Maduke and Kai Havertz revealed, the Hale End prodigy’s chances may end. Depth is key for the Gunners and supporters will be pleased to see the Spaniard add flexibility ahead of the upcoming festive fixture list.

Adding further context, he added: “I see them working hard every day and how desperate they are to be part of the team and to have them available again after such a long time would be a big boost for the team. I think it will happen soon so I’m really happy.”

His joy may be even greater given that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is already eyeing the next young player to join the conveyor belt of talent at the Emirates Stadium.

Racine Maignan-Pave as Arsenal take on Barcelona in a whirlwind of Montpellier

According to Sport.fr, Arsenal are considering signing Montpellier youngster Racine Meignan-Pavet, with sporting director Berta looking to beat Barcelona’s might to sign an exciting goalscorer.

At just 15 years old, he is already captain of the French U-16 national team, and last season he showed a solid track record of achieving his goals, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists in 24 games.

Currently under scrutiny due to his ‘explosive’ profile, the idea of making his mark at an elite club like Arsenal may be hard to turn down, but Montpellier insist they will offer him a three-year professional contract when he turns 16.

Physically he is more than a match for the defender despite still having plenty of years to develop at 6ft 1in, adding an extra layer of intrigue as the Gunners look to secure his services.
