Chelsea and Manchester United will face Manchester City in pursuit of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius Junior’s future has been a hot topic of conversation in recent weeks, as his contract renewal talks with Real Madrid have stalled and his relationship with Xabi Alonso appears to be strained.

The Brazil international could end up parting ways with Real Madrid next summer, with Fichajes reporting that Chelsea and Manchester United will be locked in a three-way battle for the 25-year-old.

The Brazilian featured in Real Madrid’s 4-3 victory over Olympiakos in the Champions League. His sensational performance drew praise from defender Rodinei, who suggested the Brazilian was the “best in the world” for him.

Vinicius Junior could proceed with a transfer

Although he was one of the standout performers in the last game, the Brazilian winger has not enjoyed a prominent role under manager Xabi Alonso.

He often started on the bench, sometimes coming on as a substitute in big matches. Vinicius is reportedly not satisfied with his role in the team and has informed the club that he will not sign a new contract.

His contract expires in the summer of 2027, so Los Blancos may have to consider parting ways with him next summer if they are unable to persuade him to sign a new contract.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all aware of his situation and are ready to fight tooth and nail to sign the 25-year-old.

Pep Guardiola’s team believe he has the potential to become an important player for their side. Chelsea, on the other hand, are in need of an immediate player in the final third and the Brazilian will certainly help their cause.

Manchester United see him as someone who can help revive the club’s fortunes. All three clubs are keen on him, but City and Chelsea are in an advantageous position as they have the financial resources to sign him over the line.
