Haas rebrands as TGR Haas F1 Team due to title partnership with Toyota

Haas will be known as TGR Haas F1 Team from 2026 after expanding its deal with Toyota to include a title partnership.

Its previous title deal with MoneyGram ends at the end of this season, and Haas has had a technical partnership with Toyota’s motorsport arm Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) since late last year. The next stage of the partnership will see TGR take over title partnership rights ahead of the introduction of new regulations in 2026.

TGR’s involvement has enabled Haas to implement a Test of Visitor Car (TPC) program this year, giving seat time to Toyota-affiliated drivers Ryo Hirakawa, Ritomo Miyata, Sho Tsuboi and Kamui Kobayashi, which will become known as the TGR Haas Driver Development Program from next year.

“It is a well-deserved honor to deepen our relationship with TGR through this new title partnership agreement,” said Haas Team Principal Ayao Komatsu. “Our partnership to date has been everything we had hoped for, as evidenced through the successful running of TPC this season, but there has been much more going on behind the scenes, including the development and installation of a simulator at our Banbury facility in the lead-up to 2026.”

“The development of talent working collaboratively between Haas F1 Team and TGR has brought huge benefits to us, and it will only grow even more as our partnership matures. We are excited to grow further with our driver program and beyond, and it is reassuring to know the depth of talent that TGR is supporting in the process.”

Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda said the partnership has so far had a major impact on human resources within the company.

Mr. Toyoda said, “Through the challenge of preparing for the 2025 season, I witnessed TGR’s young drivers and engineers believing in their own potential and starting to move towards bigger dreams.” “I was deeply moved by this transformation, and today I can say with confidence: Toyota is finally moving. It’s really moving.”

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Gene Haas and Ayao Komatsu for standing by our young members, believing in their potential, and facing the future with the same passion and perspective.

“By taking another step forward in our partnership with Haas next year, TGR’s ‘People, Product, Pipeline’ slogan will accelerate in ways never seen before. It’s time for the next generation to take their first steps onto the world stage. Together with Gene Haas, Ayao and the entire TGR Haas F1 Team, we are building both our culture and our team for the future. Toyota is truly moving forward now.”

The 2026 TGR Haas livery will be unveiled online on January 23rd, the same day as the Alpine, ahead of the Barcelona shakedown next week.
