Report: Liverpool ready to sell key star for shockingly low price in January

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is rumored to be on the verge of leaving the club in the coming months.

According to Football Insider, they are willing to sell the French defender for just £15m in January.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are reportedly monitoring his situation, with Liverpool unable to agree a new deal with him.

He will be a free agent at the end of the season and Liverpool cannot afford to lose a player of his quality for free.

It would make sense for them to sell the player for a nominal price in January.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are hoping to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehy next month.
If they can bring in an England international, it would be easy to replace Konate.

The French defender has been a key player for Liverpool for many years, but he has struggled this season.

He is not at his best right now and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
The defender is truly at the peak of his abilities and Liverpool should try to keep him at the club in the ideal situation.

However, they won’t be able to stop him from leaving due to his contract situation.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can convince the player to change his mind and commit his long-term future to the club before the January window opens.

If that doesn’t happen, a departure in January seems highly likely.

£15m is a nominal amount for a player of his quality and anyone who ends up signing him for that kind of money would be getting a huge deal.
