SCOTTSDALE — More elites will flock to the Valley next month for the 91st WM Phoenix Open in what is shaping up to be one of the most fascinating showdowns of the early PGA Tour season.

Tournament organizers confirmed new additions to the 2026 slot on Friday, strengthening an already talented roster. The event continues to attract elite professionals and has developed a reputation as a must-see event.

This tournament consistently attracts a high percentage of top-ranked players and past champions, making it a notable event on the PGA Tour calendar.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is already set to defend his position after an outstanding 2025 season, along with three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, former FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel and six-time PGA Tour champion Max Homa.

“These are players our fans know, respect and connect with,” conference president Jason Eisenberg wrote in a press release. “Each of these players have had outstanding careers on the PGA Tour, and their dedication adds depth, familiarity and competitive experience to the 2026 WM Phoenix Open field.”

Adding more talent also brings more attention to Scottsdale. The People’s Open has a reputation for blending the fan experience with golf, and bringing in players of this caliber highlights how seriously the tournament continues to prioritize competition.

A high-level field rewards performance and gives spectators more reasons to attend and watch tournaments from home. The overlap in the field makes it even harder to predict who will come out on top at this year’s WM Phoenix Open.

The stage is almost set for another week of storylines featuring past champions, top-ranked players, and players looking to continue making their mark on the PGA Tour.

The WM Phoenix Open will be held from February 2nd to 8th, and fans can purchase tickets here.
