On Day 4 of Fully Fit 2026, the Cobra team brought out new 3DP irons, OPTM metal woods, and great vibes.golf

Wwelcome Fully fit for 2026GOLF’s new platform provides real golfers’ insight into whether 2026 gear is right for your game. To this end, we gathered six golf content creators of varying abilities and challenged them to complete six full-bag fittings (from drivers to putters!) at six major club manufacturers in Phoenix and Carlsbad, California. We hope you’ll find a shade for your game from one of our panelists, and learn and be inspired by their fitting experience.

Day 4 of Fully Fit at Cobra was one of the team’s most anticipated days for many reasons.

Firstly, Cobra brings a high energy atmosphere. I’m sure we’ll have a great time with the Cobra team, especially fitters Andrew Rusty, Perry Dickie, and Tour Operations Director Ben Shomein, who joined us for the day. Wedge and putter design lead Chad DeHart was also on hand to fit wedges and putters.

It was a beautiful setting behind the range of the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, where Cobra had parked an old tour truck as its main outdoor fitting facility. For two days in a row, I was able to enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean while using state-of-the-art golf clubs.

And third, there was a lot to be excited about with this product.

Jake, Johnny, and I were all eager to get fitted for Cobra’s new set of 3DP irons. This was the second time we saw them and this time we were able to really dial them in.

Johnny and Ben quickly discovered that his tolerance on the 3DP Tour set was unparalleled, and they were dazzled by his easy attacks.

KING 3D Printed Tour Irons utilize 3D printing technology to unlock new realms of performance. Their unique design features the most forgiving blade shape on the market, providing the forgiveness that aspiring players need and the sleek look and soft feel that better players desire. 3D Printed Steel Construction Each iron is fully 3D printed from 316 stainless steel. 3D printing offers significant advantages over traditional casting and forging methods, offering greater design freedom and significantly improved performance. Player-Forgiving Blade Shapes 3D printing unlocks new design possibilities, allowing COBRA engineers to create compact blade shapes with the mass properties of game-enhancing irons (high MOI, low center of gravity) without sacrificing the look and soft feel that great players demand. Internal Lattice Structure COBRA uses a muscle back blade shape (similar in size and shape to King Tour irons) and uses a complex internal lattice structure inside the blade to reduce club weight by 33%. Its arbitrary weights have been repositioned to optimize feel, CG position, and MOI.

When adjusting for the 3DP MB, Jake and I thought we would both go into one shaft, but that wasn’t the case. I’ve been using the Project X 6.5 shaft for years, but Andrew and I noticed that the Nippon Modus 120 For Jake, who had previously played the Project X 6.5 and was using the Modus 120 X in his Cobra King MB and CB gamer set, the Project X gave him slightly better numbers to put back in the bag.

Sean also continued his mission to learn more about what clubs to carry in his bag and had great success with his 3DP Tour irons.

The 3DP iron wasn’t the only stopper in the game, as Wade increased his ball speed to 165 mph with his new OPTM LS driver. Maddy also worked with Ben to create a gap in the top of the bag using a 3-wood, 5-wood, and 9-wood.

The Cobra team passed the halfway point of their trip and had a great day. Our bags are starting to fill up at this point, but the Callaway and Srixon are still on deck. stay tuned.
