The Cameroon international has scored seven goals and provided four assists in his first season with Leverkusen and appears to have a bright future ahead of him.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Kofane, who can play wide or up front, is only 19 years old, but he is already valued at around 60-70 million euros.

See Plettenberg’s post on X below. Arsenal are said to be monitoring Kofane’s situation as Leverkusen may be willing to sell him for a fair price…

Plettenberg posted: “Arsenal are monitoring Christian.” Please stay the same. The 19-year-old talented striker made an impression in the Champions League quarter-finals. Other top English clubs are also interested, with Real Madrid also eyeing him.

“Bayer 04 Leverkusen are asking between 60 and 70 million euros for a summer transfer. The top signing is Rolfes/Falkenberg. Both have good contact with their agent Eric Depolo.”

Christian Cofane could end up in the Premier League

Recent reports from sports boom linked Kofane and other clubs such as Chelsea and NewcastleBut now Arsenal appear to be taking an increased interest.

The Gunners may have to forego competition from their Premier League rivals to sign the highly-rated young attacker, but they could arguably offer him the most attractive project.

Mikel Arteta has done a fantastic job at the Emirates Stadium, with the team currently leading the charge for the Premier League title and also in contention for Champions League and FA Cup qualification.

Kofane could join and play a key role, perhaps rotating in with a more experienced striker with a view to eventually developing into the club’s first choice.

Although 60-70 million euros is a lot for someone relatively inexperienced, Kofane is so impressive that it might be a wise investment in the long run.
