Spurs are rumored to be looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, with Brighton’s Bert Verbruggen reportedly one of their top targets for the position, according to talkSPORT.

Verbruggen impressed during his time at Brighton and De Zerbi remains a big fan of the Dutch shot-stopper.

Reports from talkSPORT also suggest that Brighton are relaxed about the situation as they have another keeper ready to move into first place in Carl Rushworth, who did well on loan at Coventry City.

Will Tottenham get a new goalkeeper?

Tottenham definitely need an upgrade from Guglielmo Vicario in goal and Verbruggen looks like a strong candidate for their new number one.

TEAMtalk previously reported that Vicario could be replaced this summer, with Manchester City’s James Trafford being another option Spurs could consider.

However, Trafford has struggled for playing time with Man City this season and may be a bit more rusty by the time next season arrives.

Verbruggen, by contrast, continues to play regularly for Brighton and will arrive in north London in good condition.

If THFC continues to perform like this, some might imagine it will be a busy summer with Gabriel Sala being targeted as a potential addition to the midfield.
