Lautaro Libero will improve Chelsea
Chelsea will need to improve their defense if they are to compete for trophies next season. The libero has the quality to excel in the Premier League and would be a long-term investment for the London club. Chelsea have the financial wherewithal to make a deal and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to make an acceptable offer to River Plate.
Udinese could also be an interesting opportunity for the young defender, but a move to the Premier League would be even more exciting. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and could offer him a platform to fight for big trophies. It would be reasonable to assume that he would prefer a move to a London club.

A move to the Premier League would be ideal for the libero.
It has been a mediocre season for Chelsea, but they will be hoping to bounce back strongly. They need to tighten up at the back, and a libero could be an upgrade on players like Benoît Badiashile and Axel Disasi.
The 22-year-old defender wants to establish himself as a key player in the Argentina national team and a move to the Premier League will definitely help him. More exposure in English football will help him cement his place in the national team.
