Manchester United’s summer reinforcement plans have taken a huge hit. Club Brugge sensation Christos Tzoris has given the clear green light to a potential move to Old Trafford, while also cutting off interest from several Premier League rivals.

The 24-year-old Greece international has made remarkable progress in Belgium, with many top clubs taking notice of his talent.

However, Tzoris has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Brugge for any project and has set strict criteria in favor of the Red Devils.

Christos Tzoris gives Manchester United the green light

In a candid interview with Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad this week, Tzoris openly admitted that the lure of Old Trafford may be too strong for him to resist.

Despite feeling incredibly calm at Brugge, the forward confessed his admiration for Manchester’s red side.

“United were able to convince me,” Tzoris candidly admitted. “Such a huge club with such a long history. It would be hard to turn it down.”

The forward’s desire to join is a huge boost for United’s structure as they look to inject dynamism up front.

Christos Tzoris refuses to play for mid-tier Premier League club

United are not the only English club keeping an eye on the winger, but Tzoris has ruthlessly narrowed down his options.

He demanded elite European football if he was to take the next step, clearly closing the door on mid-table Premier League aspirants.

“It has to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain and Italy. The only better option than the club is PSG,” Tsolis said flatly.

When faced with interest from Crystal Palace, his response was decisive. “The Crystal Palace train has already left the station.”

This elite requirement will also dampen Newcastle United’s hopes while keeping fellow suitors Aston Villa firmly in the negotiations.

Tzoris is in no hurry to leave Belgium, concluding that he has “everything I need to be happy here”, but the path to a deal will become formal if either Manchester United or Aston Villa decide to show formal interest.

Tzoris has transformed into one of the most productive wingers in European football, finding the back of the net 17 times in the Belgian Pro League campaign alone.

His results across all competitions have been even more impressive, with 22 goals and an astonishing 29 assists in all competitions.
