Andoni Iraola is reportedly set to officially sign his Liverpool contract today, with the Reds getting very close to announcing a new manager to replace Arne Slott.
Iraola is out of contract with Bournemouth and it would be no surprise to see the Spanish tactician move to a bigger club soon after his impressive spell on the south coast.

The 2025/26 season was a difficult one for Liverpool under Slott’s rule, with the club falling to fifth place in the Premier League standings and failing to win a silver medal.
Reds supporters can look forward to a new era under Iraola, as Fabrizio Romano posted the following update on his X account:
“Andoni Iraola has signed a contract with Liverpool today. It has been completed, confirmed and will become official shortly. Big news confirmed for Saturday: departure, Iraola will be the next manager,” Romano posted.

Could Andoni Iraola step up as Liverpool manager?
Iraola did a very impressive job at Bournemouth and there was a lot of interest in him before Liverpool accelerated their approach after deciding to part ways with Slott.
We have been informed that Iraola is a top target for Chelsea and Manchester United, while there is also genuine interest from Crystal Palace in an ambitious move.
Still, a big move like LFC makes sense for Iraola and it will be interesting to see what kind of impact he can make at Anfield.
The 43-year-old is not going into the easiest situation, with experienced players such as Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all leaving this summer.
There is no doubt that Iraola will need a lot of help in the transfer market if he is to get Liverpool challenging for the title again, as several other players in the current squad also certainly need replacements.
Virgil van Dijk is aging and past his best, while last summer signings Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Jeremy Frimpong and Milos Kerkes all lacked a significant impact in their first years at the club.
