Murray Campbell is yet to be promoted to the London club’s first team, but he made his debut in the Conference League against London last season. Shamrock Rovers.

He last played for the Under-21s and had an impressive season. His impressive performance earned him nominations for the following awards: Premier League Player of the Year Award for 2 years.

Murray Campbell could join Championship club

With the Blues failing to qualify for Europe, Alonso is unlikely to use the 19-year-old. Murray-Campbell will be pushed further down the pecking order as the club are likely to sign a new centre-back.

As a result, the London club believe a loan move is the best option for the youngster who needs regular minutes at senior level. He could follow a similar path to Trevo Chalovar, who performed well away on loan before breaking into the first team.

A number of clubs in the Championship have their eye on the teenager, and although he prefers to play as a centre-back, he is also quite capable as a right-back. The Blues hope to agree loan terms with interested clubs.
