Newcastle United have reportedly won a €50 million transfer race for Bazmana Toure, who has also been linked with Liverpool.
The 20-year-old contributed five goals and nine assists to Hoffenheim’s season in the Bundesliga last season, so it’s no surprise that he has made a big move this summer.

Fabrizio Romano wrote in X: “Newcastle have agreed a €50 million package deal to sign Ivorian winger Bazmana Toure. Let’s go! After an official bid submitted today, a deal has been signed between the player’s agent and Hoffenheim. @TeamFootball I will report. Toure is expected to sign a long-term contract #NUFC this week. “
Sky Germany and TEAMtalk have also linked Liverpool strongly with Toure, but this appears to be another attacking target that has eluded the Reds.
The news also follows a blow for LFC, with Yann Diomand becoming more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from The Athletic.

What can Bazmana Toure bring to Newcastle?
Newcastle seem to have real talent here and Toure has certainly shown he has a big future in this game.
The Ivorian international has speed and skill and has already shown the ability to score and create at a consistent level.
Of course, a move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League would be a big step up for him, but he looks like a smart long-term acquisition for Newcastle to replace departing winger Anthony Gordon…

Overall, we ran this through the Transfer Fit rating system and got a score of 17/25. This is actually a very decent score.
Toure may be a bit expensive and inexperienced, but he is in good form, at a good stage in his career and has strengthened a position that Newcastle needed to strengthen.
It will be interesting to see how he continues to develop under Eddie Howe’s guidance at St James’ Park.
