‘Agreed terms’ – Fabrizio Romano says Barcelona are transfer targets for Arsenal and Manchester United

Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms with Karim Adeyemi and made a formal offer for the Borussia Dortmund winger.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Adeyemi has made it clear that he does not want to sign a new contract with Dortmund and only wants to move to Barça.

The German international’s current contract expires in 2027, so BVB will likely be under pressure to accept a reasonable offer for him now. If he doesn’t, he could leave the club on a free transfer within a year.

Arsenal and Manchester United have also recently shown an interest in Adeyemi, but Barcelona now appear to be in pole position…

“Breaking news: Karim Adeyemi has agreed terms with Barcelona and has informed BVB that he only wants to move to Barça. Adeyemi’s contract expires in June 2027 and he has no plans to sign a new contract.” “Barcelona have now sent an official bid to BVB for Adeyemi and are working towards making it a reality,” Romano wrote on X.

Will Premier League clubs regret missing out on Karim Adeyemi?

Adeyemi looks like an exciting signing for Barcelona, having impressed during his time in the Bundesliga, but it is perhaps surprising that a Premier League club did not show a stronger interest in him.

The 24-year-old finished last season with a total of 10 goals and six assists and is likely to end up moving for a relatively cheap price in a market currently widely seen as highly inflated.

Arsenal and United were also among the English clubs considering signing Adeyemi, but for some reason he doesn’t seem to have been a priority for them.

But while the Gunners could really use a player of his pace and skill in their front three, MUFC could benefit from more depth in that department, even if it makes sense to focus on other areas of the team first.
