As previously revealed, Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri is reportedly being linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old has struggled for playing time for the Gunners recently and also endured a difficult loan spell to Marseille in the second half of last season.

We were previously informed that Dortmund were keeping an eye on Nwaneri, and he remains highly rated across Europe and in the Premier League.

The Sun also reports that BVB are monitoring Nwaneri’s situation in case he leaves the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Nwaneri has now returned to Arsenal for pre-season following his spell at Marseille, and it will be interesting to see if he ends up leaving in the coming days or weeks.

Other big clubs are eyeing Ethan Nwaneri

That’s not the only speculation we have about Nwaneri today, with journalist Matteo Mollet also naming AC Milan, Fulham and Everton as potential suitors for the England Under-21 international.

Mollet said on YouTube that Nwaneri is not considered untouchable by Arsenal and could be moved quickly if a suitable offer is made.

But importantly, the Italian added that this would have to be a favorable condition for the AFC, not only for the control of the player now, but also in the future.

Mollet said: “Arsenal are open to the possibility of him leaving. A permanent contract would be better, but without losing control of the player’s rights.”

This suggests that Arsenal are looking for something like a buy-back clause, first-reject and possibly some form of sell-on clause, which would allow them to benefit even more if he has a good career.

This is probably a smart move for the Premier League champions, as while there may not be much room for Nwaneri right now, they seem to recognize his immense potential to shine elsewhere if the conditions are right.

The teenager has shown flashes of great talent and Arsenal shouldn’t let him go without thinking deeply about how things will play out in the next few years.
