Real Betis has acknowledged Enzo Maresca, who recently coached Chelsea to a 4-1 triumph over Betis in the UEFA Conference League final, highlighting their rivalry.

Maresca previously played for Sevilla for four seasons, making over 100 appearances and securing two UEFA Cup titles.

Sevilla, holding the record for the most UEFA Cup/European League trophies with seven, posted a message on X:

In response to Sevilla’s comments, Betis President Angel Halo pointed out Sevilla’s struggles this season.

While Betis finished sixth in La Liga, Sevilla narrowly escaped relegation, finishing just one point above the drop zone.

“I haven’t seen the posts, but they’re fighting their own battles now,” said Halo after the game.

“We are focused on our growth and planning for next year, unlike them, who are in a very different struggle.”

When asked if Betis had similar concerns, Halo replied, “If it were up to me… forget it, I’ll just congratulate you on my first department this year.”
