Atalanta midfielder Ederson is rumored to be on the verge of leaving the Italian club at the end of the season.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Arsenal and Manchester United are closely monitoring his situation. They may make a move to sign him in the summer.

The 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish team are yet to secure an agreement with the Italian club. Naturally, the competition for his signature is very open. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal and Manchester United will make a move for him.

They need a complete central midfielder like him and the Brazilian could be a very useful addition. He adds control, composure, creativity and defensive cover in the middle of the park.

He has proven his quality in Italian football and in European competitions. He has the technical attributes and physicality to be suitable for English football. He is at the peak of his career and this is the perfect time for Ederson to take on a new challenge.

Arsenal and Manchester United are among the biggest clubs in the world and could provide him with a platform to compete in next season’s UEFA Champions League and fight for big trophies. Players will likely want to join them.

Atalanta would not want to lose a key player like him so easily, but they are under pressure to sell him. He has a contract with the Italian club until 2027. This is his last chance to recoup the money he earned from his departure.

Arsenal and Manchester United have the financial wherewithal to make a deal happen, and it remains to be seen whether they will make a formal offer in the coming weeks.
