So, that’s it. The Premier League season has come to an end after 38 games, with Tottenham surviving relegation on the final day and closing the curtain on the 2025/26 season.
Arsenal were already confirmed as Premier League champions earlier this week, but there was still plenty to see in today’s final game.

There were records broken and emotional farewells, so in case you missed it, check out our recap below.
Tottenham survive even if West Ham lose
Tottenham beat Everton 1-0 thanks to a goal from Joao Parinha, but this meant that West Ham’s 3-0 win against Leeds was not enough to keep them in the game.
Watch the wild scene below as Roberto De Zerbi celebrated Spurs’ top spot. Overall it was another very disappointing season, with the North Londoners finishing 17th for the second year in a row…
West Ham ended up beating Leeds fairly easily, but needed either an Everton win or a crazy swing in goal difference to ensure survival, and are now preparing for life in the Championship.
Bruno Fernandes sets new assist record
Manchester United did not have much to play on the final day as they had already qualified for the Champions League and secured third place in the table.
However, history was made as Bruno Fernandes recorded his 21st assist of the season, breaking the Premier League record previously held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
It’s been a great season for Fernandes. Fernandes has once again fully established himself as Man United’s most important player and, in fact, is probably the best player in England’s top flight at the moment.
Arsenal win again before lifting the trophy
Arsenal went into this game knowing they were champions, but they picked up another three points with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Gunners rested many of their starting eleven in preparation for the Champions League final, but Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring and Noni Madueke added the second.
Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one back for Palace, but the result gave Arsenal a final point of 85 points, ahead of last year’s league champions Liverpool, who had 84 points.

Manchester City lose in emotional final match between Pep and Bernardo
Today was primarily about saying goodbye to Josep Guardiola, but of course Manchester City will be disappointed with the loss.
Antoine Semenyo’s goal gave MCFC the lead, but Ollie Watkins’ double gave Aston Villa the win on the final day, reducing the gap between first and second place to seven points.
City paid special tribute not only to Guardiola, but also to departed legends Bernardo Silva and John Stones, and there was no thirst within the company.
What else happened on the last day?
There was also some big news in the European soccer world. Freshly promoted Sunderland defeated Chelsea to secure a rather sensational seventh place finish and Europa League football next season.
Bournemouth will also be in the Europa League, and although Villa’s win over City and Liverpool’s draw with Brentford dampened their Champions League hopes, fans will still be celebrating a great season and a sixth-place finish.
Meanwhile, Brighton will take part in the Europa Conference League, but with the loss to Chelsea they fell to 10th place, missing out on Europe altogether.
It was also an emotional farewell day at Anfield as Mohamed Salah and Andrew Roberson played their last game for Liverpool and bid farewell to the fans.
